I assess each mole carefully using dermoscopy, and send them for histological analysis at our partner labs. The procedure itself is straightforward, but importantly, it allows us to rule out or confirm conditions like melanoma. Early detection is the priority.

If it needs deeper cutting, a small surgery is done to lift and take it out due to the growth being either extended or deep inside. Some might use lasers within. Once the original mole is removed, they will put a bandage on it and give you post-care instructions to follow while your skin heals. Typically, healing is fast, and you will have little to no scarring afterwards.

There can be many reasons for which removing moles at home may be harmful. Firstly, you may not remove the entire mole; in such a case, it would re-grow. Second, home remedies, including cutting or burning off the mole, can cause infections when not done properly.
